The Little Gasparilla Ladies Group (LGLG) was started 8 years ago by Mazie Ostervold and several Hideaway Bay Beach Club ladies. They so enjoyed the island that they wanted to give back to the community and have fun doing so.
Since its inception, LGLG has made yearly donations to a local elementary school to cover special needs. This year, their fund raising project was to create and sell cookbooks with recipes from the island women and their friends. The profits from the sale of these books will be donated to the Little Gasparilla Island Fire and Rescue for
Thanks to Carol Henglein, Judy Cholger, Gail Stimson, and Dorothy Bennink for their endless work on the cookbook. This was truly a team effort by all the LGLG members pitching in to create, develop, market and sell the books.
Over six hundred books were sent to LGLG and there are only one hundred left. If you have not purchased one please call Pede Fraser at 703-980-7273 or Anita Burger at 303-921-5954 before they are all gone.
